About Us

THE FIRST STUDENT CHAPTER IN THE NATION!

RU LERA is a non-profit organization that was founded in the Fall of 2014. We are the first student-run chapter in the nation that has a direct affiliation to LERA (Labor and Employment Relations Association). We are the leaders of today and the emerging leaders in our field who are ingrained within a diverse community of individuals. As we pave the way for other student chapters to form across the nation, we invite you to join us on our journey and to take advantage of this opportunity that no other university in the country offers its students.

Our Mission Statement About Us: Who Are We and What Do We Do?

We are RU LERA, comprised of a student body, focused on the development of labor practices through education and establishing networking opportunities for our members and working professionals.

We aim to provide workshops and events that promote the engagement of labor topics, research, legal matters and exchanges regarding people and the workplace.

Rutgers University Labor and Employment Relations Association (RU LERA) is an organizing chapter of the Labor and Employment Relations Association.

RU LERA is an academic, professional, and social organization established in the Fall of 2014. Our goal is to provide an environment that allows students to broaden their perspectives, take advantage of opportunities, and develop personal growth in the field of academics and relationships.

RU LERA is led by students for the enrichment of students.

RU LERA is the first all-student LERA Chapter and provides a venue for students to obtain unique insights, expand their knowledge base, and to network with labor and employment relations professionals. Membership is open to students, faculty, and staff interested in industrial relations, collective bargaining, and other labor and employment issues.
